DLA Troop Support provides Passover, Easter food, religious items and needed comfort to servicemen, women overseas

With the upcoming Easter and Passover holidays, the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support is providing special meals and religious items to give some much needed comfort to servicemen and women deployed overseas, during these unprecedented times. Nearly 90,000 pounds of food and 159 religious item orders were sent to locations including Europe and the Middle East for holiday ceremonies and celebrations.

The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support and Distribution worked together to get 48 hand-washing stations to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri in less than two days so service men and women can practice proper hygiene during the coronavirus outbreak.

For 40 years, warfighters have feasted on the “famous” Meal, Ready-to-Eat. But thanks to a partnership between the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Subsistence supply chain and the Department of Defense Combat Feeding Directorate, that is not the only individual combat ration available.
