DLA Strategic Plan lays out goals for 2015-2022

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — Continued collaboration, innovation and smart investments are cornerstones of the Defense Logistics Agency’s Strategic Plan for 2015 through 2022. DLA Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch released the new plan May 4.

Disposition Services contract supports Better Buying Power goals

BATTLE CREEK, Michigan — A hazardous waste disposal contract awarded in January is an example of how DLA Disposition Services supports Better Buying Power by promoting competition and improving tradecraft in acquisition through increased small-business participation.

HQC employees train to help evacuate coworkers with mobility challenges

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — Many McNamara Headquarters Complex employees find evacuating the building a routine manner: head for the stairs and walk out an emergency exit. But for some, getting down the stairs and out of the building requires a little bit of teamwork.

Scott Bentley, a jet engine mechanic with the 548th Propulsion Maintenance Group at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, removes a disk from an F-110-100 engine low-pressure turbine rotor disassembly, Feb. 6.

Better Buying Power initiatives showcased in engine contract’s unique features

RICHMOND, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s procurement strategies have continued to evolve to meet the challenges of Better Buying Power 3.0, an undersecretary of defense for acquisition, technology and logistics initiative to improve Defense Department procurement.

DLA Troop Support Pacific supported Kubasaki High School in Okinawa, Japan with a new rubber track, repairs on their bleachers and updated bathroom fixtures. Kubasaki is a Department of Defense Education Activity school for department civilians located on a Marine camp.
