Cybersecurity in the Workplace is Everyone’s Business

COLUMBUS, Ohio — With recent hurricanes, wildfires and earthquakes, there is no downtime from adversaries when donations are sent for relief work due to a natural disaster. Adversaries will design malicious emails that are used in social engineering attacks. The emails, also known as phishing attacks, are a form of social engineering.

DoD Fresh program highlighted in new video

PHILADELPHIA — Subsistence acquisition professionals in DLA Troop Support manage the DoD Fresh Program, and in coordination with the USDA’s National School Lunch Program, they provide fresh produce to 12,000 schools in 48 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Guam.

Ronald Everett, a tailored vender logistics specialist with Subsistence, retired after 30 years of federal service. Everett joined DLA in 2007 and served in the Army from 1976 to 1996.

Troop Support celebrates 70 years of airpower and innovation

PHILADELPHIA — DLA Troop Support celebrated the Air Force’s 70th birthday Sept. 12 as Maj. Donald Steel and Master Sgt. Naka Turner, representing the oldest and youngest airmen, respectively, serving at Troop Support, cut a traditional birthday cake during the senior leaders weekly staff meeting.

Carrie Ann Brown, a forensic anthropologist with the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, talks to the Naval Support Activity Philadelphia workforce during a POW/MIA Recognition Day ceremony September 14. Brown, who holds a doctorate in anthropology, spoke about the work the DPAA does in recovering and identifying the remains of warfighters. PHILADELPHIA — DLA Troop Support continues to manage the delivery of more than 30 million meals and 82 generators to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s hurricane relief efforts.
