  • Governing Standards: All data elements are governed by the Accredited Standards Committee X12 (ASC X12) and the policies within DLM 4000.25, Defense Logistics Management Standards (DLMS). The ASC X12 is the governing source for X12, which is an electronic data interchange (EDI) standard.

  888N LQ01 116 Cataloging Order of Use Code Use to identify a national stock number's Interchangeability and Substitutability (I&S) relationship within a service/agency's I&S family. The first two positions indicate the I&S order of use subgroup code, and the last position indicates the order of use sequence code within subgroups 1.   888N LQ01 117 Cataloging Optional Procedures Indicator Code Use to indicate allowable deviations from prescribed requirements 1. Use to indicate the Optional Procedures Indicator Code (FLIS DRN 5173). 2. Approved for use in X12 version 8060.
  888N LQ01 118 Cataloging Packaging Data Source Code Use to identify the source from which packaging data is obtained or received 1. Use to indicate the Packaging Data Source Code (FLIS DRN 5148). 2. A data maintenance action was approved in version 8060.
  888N LQ01 119 Reference Number Status Code Use to designate whether a manufacturer is a source of procurement and whether the reference number is required for identification in the procurement invitation for bid 1.   888N LQ01 122 Cataloging Master Requirement Code (MRC) Mode Code Use to identify a data field in the Master Requirement Directory (MRD) which reflects the permissible mode code for a specific Master Requirement Code (MRC). This code indicates the type and format of a reply to be given to the MRC

  888N LQ01 ACX National Item Identification Number (NIIN) Status Codes Use to identify the current status of a national item identification number /NIIN Use this code to indicate the List of DoD National Item Identification Number (NIIN) Status Codes (FLIS DRN 2670).
  888N LQ01 ACY (Army) Recoverability Code Use to identify the recoverability category under which an item of supply is managed 1. Use to indicate Army Recoverability Code (FLIS DRN 2892). 2. A data maintenance action was approved in version 8010.
  888N LQ01 COG Cognizance Symbol Use for internal Navy management purposes to classify items by technical program, type of fund, and to indicate the cognizant Inventory Control Point (ICP) and technically responsible command FLIS DRN 8940
  888N LQ01 ESC Electrostatic Discharge Code Use to indicate whether an item is susceptible to electrostatic discharge or electromagnetic interference damage. Electrostatic discharge damage occurs when an accumulation of static electricity generated by the relative motion or separation of materials is released to another item by direct contact. Electromagnetic interference damage occurs when an item comes into proximity with an electrostatic or magnetic field Use to indicate Electrostatic Discharge Code (FLIS DRN 2043).

  888N LQ01 RFC Reference Number Format Code Use to identify the format mode of a logistics reference number used in both engineering and logistics data systems Use this code to indicate the Reference Number Format Code (FLIS DRN 2920).
  888N LQ01 RJC Reference Number Justification Code Use to record the degree of research conducted and the justification for adding a reference number, reinstatement of an item identification, or assignment of a new national item identification number despite a recognized condition of possible duplication with an existing item 1. A data maintenance action was approved in version 4060. The approved code/name is "RJC - Reference Number Justification Code" (FLIS DRN 2750). 2. Use this code to indicate the Reference Number Justification Code to provide information/justification related to a NMCS/MICAP.
  888N LQ01 RNC Reference Number Category Code Use to designate the relationship of the Reference Number to the Item of Supply A Code designating the relationship of the Reference Number to the Item of Supply (FLIS DRN 2910).
  888N LQ01 RVC Reference Number Variation Code Use to indicate that a cited Reference Number is or is not item identifying, or is for information only A Code Indicating that a cited Reference Number is or is not item identifying, or is for information only (FLIS DRN 4780).
  888N LQ01 SJB Material Code Use to identify the method of accounting, degree and type control to be maintained for the item under the supported activities supply system and to identify materiel by specific purpose, type or classification for the war reserve sub system 1.
