DLA Joint Reserve Force’s Audit Task Force commander retires following 32 years of service
Navy Rear Adm. Deborah Haven, commander of the Defense Logistics Agency Joint Reserve Force and the agency’s Audit Task Force, is presented with the Defense Superior Service Medal by DLA Director Army Lt. Gen. Darrell K. Williams during her retirement ceremony in the Operations Center Auditorium September 6 at the Defense Supply Center Columbus.
Sept. 10, 2019 - Navy Rear Adm. Deborah Haven celebrated 32 years of military service during a retirement ceremony in the Operations Center Auditorium September 6 at the Defense Supply Center Columbus, where she previously completed 29 years of Federal Service as a civilian logistician. In her final assignment, Haven served as the DLA Joint Reserve Force’s Audit Task Force commander. Haven, a native of Philadelphia, is an alumnus of The University of Maryland and holds a Master of Business Administration from LaSalle University in Philadelphia. Haven stated she joined the Navy after falling in love with logistics in college and wanted to be part of the military’s vast, global mission.

June 23, 2019 - The Defense Logistics Agency Joint Reserve Force brings unique skillsets and assistance to DLA as a whole. This week, reserve personnel from the JRF joined forces with other military and civilians to take part in the Overseas Contingency Operations Readiness Training exercise at two different military installations in Battle Creek, Michigan. The exercise started June 10 and finished June 21.

Mobile disposal site deploys for first time
Property Disposal Specialist Parry Miller guides the construction of a mobile command and control shelter at Camp Bondsteel in Kosovo. Miller will serve as the disposal site lead for two weeks as a DLA Disposition Services team torches, shreds and removes broken down equipment the U.S. Army has accumulated during its peacekeeping mission there.
June 18, 2019 - An agency property disposal team has set up temporary shop at Kosovo’s Camp Bondsteel to help the 20-year-old base rid itself of defunct and decrepit equipment.

March 25, 2019 - More than 90 DLA Joint Reserve Force members gathered at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, for the Annual Leadership Review March 15-17.
 

The mission of the Joint Reserve Force is to provide DLA with a trained, ready and available joint force for contingency operations, operational support, surge support, and contingency planning. Our objective is to develop an organization of highly skilled, multi-functional, joint logistics professionals who understand all aspects of DLA operations and customer service.

 

   

We are the Joint Reserve Force of the Defense Logistics Agency. We are Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps reservists working together to support the DLA mission world-wide. We are a high-performing, customer-focused, globally responsive force. DLA prides itself in being the "source behind the force."
