Web-Based Training (WBT)
Web-Based Training (WBT) provides instruction for an application or topic. An application is simulated and the student practices fundamental processes that (s)he can apply to the actual application. Students can participate in this training at their leisure: anytime, anywhere. Distributed Learning creates the training program and then distributes it via the Logistics Information Services website. Computer-Based Training (CBT) is the same as WBT, with the exception of the delivery method. Students who cannot access the internet can request (CAC or User I.D./Password Required) a CD-ROM of the same program.
Instructions For Using Web-Based Training
Flash Web Player
You will need to install/enable the Adobe Flash Player (Non-DLA Web Site) on your computer to run the WBT programs. Note: Installing any web player requires that you have administrative rights to your computer. This is a link to a commercial website outside of DLA. This link is provided for convenience only and does not constitute endorsement.
If, after you launch a WBT program, you switch to another application and then wish to resume the training, you may need to click inside the WBT browser window to reactivate the WBT.
Monitor (Screen) Resolution
The optimum screen resolution for displaying WBT screens is 1024 x 768 pixels. You may need to scroll to display the entire contents of a screen if your resolution is set to a lower resolution like 800 x 600 pixels.
