U.S. aircraft inaugural refueling in India

ANDAMAN AND NICOBAR ISLANDS, India — In a historical event, a U.S. Navy aircraft refueled for the first time at India’s strategic base in Andaman and Nicobar Islands late September under a fuel agreement between DLA Energy and the Indian Ministry of Defense.

Carrying equipment destined for Mars, a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket fueled by DLA Energy blasted off from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, July 30. The rocket carried the $2.7 billion NASA's Mars 2020 Perseverance rover in to space on a 300-million-mile voyage.
