Marines, engineers conduct a first-of-its-kind 3D printing exercise

Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Marine Corps Systems Command website — Marines from Marine Corps Systems Command and 7th Engineer Support Battalion along with engineers from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Construction Engineering Research Laboratory conducted the first known 3D concrete printing operation with a three-inch print nozzle at the CERL headquarters in early August in Champaign, Illinois.

AMOC gives Marines 24/7 additive manufacturing assistance

Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Marine Corps Systems Command website — Marines now have a way to get help with advanced manufacturing issues any time, day or night. In a MARADMIN released by Headquarters Marine Corps in January, the Corps established the Advanced Manufacturing Operations Cell at Marine Corps Systems Command to serve as a 24/7 help desk for Marines who need assistance with 3D printing, and other sustainment and manufacturing solutions.
