DLA San Joaquin Firefighters assist in saving homes

TRACY, Calif. — The fire crew at Defense Logistics Agency Installation Management San Joaquin’s Fire Station 262 were dispatched for mutual aid by South San Joaquin County Dispatch in the late afternoon of July 5. They were later called out for a second alarm working residential structure fire in the city of Tracy, California.

San Joaquin continues to provide world-class support to critical wildland fire mission

TRACY, CALIFORNIA — The men and women of Defense Logistics Agency Distribution San Joaquin, California’s Wildland Fire Mission Team are doing their part by supplying critical items to the wildland firefighters battling fires across the nation.

Washington National Guard musters for wildfire support

CAMP MURRAY, Wash — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the National Guard website — Nearly 150 Washington National Guard members have been activated to support wildland firefighting efforts in Eastern Washington.

DLA works closely with the U.S. Forest Service, state governments and local fire departments to get firefighters like the Silver State Interagency Hotshot Crew, shown fighting a blaze in the Stanislaus National Forest, California, the equipment they need.

Cal Guard’s 49th Military Police Brigade brings 1,900-plus into California inferno

SANTA ROSA, Calif. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the National Guard website — Even with the 49th Military Police Brigade's storied career – one of multiple successful overseas deployments and a current homeland security mission – this California Army National Guard unit has never witnessed a natural disaster so destructive as October's fire inferno in Northern California.

“Historic” is the word for this year’s Wildland fires. Now supplies are coming back to be refurbished and made ready to battle the next incident. Rocky Mountain Interagency Support Cache Materiel Handler, Damion Diaz, is pulling DLA supplied host that’s been tested, washed, and dried and ready to fight fires.
