Vaccine clinic draws over 100 DSCR employees

Richmond, Va. — Volunteers from the Virginia Army National Guard at Fort Pickett near Blackstone, Virginia, Defense Logistics Agency Installation Management Richmond and DLA Aviation’s Customer Operations Directorate managed a pop-up vaccine clinic at Defense Supply Center Richmond April 27. More than 100 DLA employees were given the first of two COVID-19 vaccine injections.

DLA provides critical supplies to USAID for India pandemic response

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — Rapid COVID-19 tests and N95 masks are among initial supplies from the Defense Logistics Agency being flown to India as part of the U.S. government’s effort to help meet urgent health needs there.

Tara Perrien was awarded the Troop Support Fall Innovation Award for her efforts in digitizing the Medical/Surgical Distribution and Pricing Agreement files, saving time and resources, and enabling the DAPA team to function at full capacity while telecommuting during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Troop Support employees recognized for innovative solutions

PHILADELPHIA — A member of the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Medical supply chain and a team from the Clothing and Textile supply chain received the Troop Support’s Fall Innovation Award for their inventive problem solving.

DLA, SOUTHCOM partnership provides humanitarian support for COVID-19 relief

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency partnered with the U.S. Southern Command to deliver $1.3 million worth of life-saving pharmaceuticals to the Paraguay Ministry of Health for urgent treatment of intensive care patients with COVID-19. “This effort represents a whole-of-government approach [including] the Department of State, USSOUTHCOM, and DLA to strengthen partnerships and counter threats in our shared neighborhood,” SOUTHCOM Director of Logistics Marine Col. David Gibbs said.

DLA director meets Richmond-based employees, praises commitment to mission

Michelle Skubic visited Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, April 16 for the first time since she became director of the enterprise in July. She previously headed supplier operations for DLA Aviation from August 2008 to August 2011.
