Guam National Guard Plays Role in Moving Supplies to Saipan

BARRIGADA, Guam — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command website — Amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) worked with 254th Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operational Repair Squadron Engineers (RED HORSE), from the Guam Air National Guard, to transport vehicles and supplies from the Guam Army National Guard to Saipan by both sea and air Nov. 17.

100th LRS Fuels Facilities support flying mission

RAF MILDENHALL, England — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Royal Air Force Mildenhall website — People far and wide have seen fighter jets zipping in the skies, most recently F-18 Hornets, F-22 Raptors, and F-15 Eagles. Impressive as these aircraft may be, getting off the ground to perform training and real world missions wouldn’t be possible without RAF Mildenhall’s critical air refueling “bridge,” that allows aircraft, whether it be U.S. military or NATO allies, to deploy at a moment’s notice.

109th Airlift Wing commences annual support for National Science Foundation support in Antarctica

STRATTON AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Pacific Air Forces website — Five hundred Airmen and 6 LC-130 Hercules assigned to the New York Air National Guard's 109th Airlift Wing began their annual mission at McMurdo Station, Antarctica this week in support of the 31st season of Operation Deep Freeze.
