U.S. Army Alaska Gives Marine Corps a Lift during Exercise

SEWARD, Alaska — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command website — Soldiers of the 109th Transportation Company, 17th Combat Support Sustainment Battalion, U.S. Army Alaska, assisted the Navy and Marine Corps during the Arctic Expeditionary Capabilities Exercise in Seward Sept. 19.

The KC-135 Stratotanker provides the core aerial refueling capability for the United States Air Force and has excelled in this role for more than 60 years. This unique asset enhances the Air Force's capability to accomplish its primary mission of global reach. It also provides aerial refueling support to Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and allied nation aircraft. The KC-135 is also capable of transporting litter and ambulatory patients using patient support pallets during aeromedical evacuations. MG ‘19 Airmen fill fuel bladder in U.S. for the first time

FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Fairchild Air Force Base website — A handful of 92nd Logistics Readiness Squadron Airmen employed a Fuels Operational Readiness Capability Equipment system during Mobility Guardian 2019, marking the first time the mobile fuel bladders have been used stateside in an uncontested environment, Sept. 11, 2019.

CLB-31 provides all elements of the MEU with combat service support and is comprised of various sections, to include motor transportation, engineers, explosive ordnance, maintenance, supply, landing support, and communications and health service support.

2019 a busy year for Hill’s 75th Logistics Readiness Squadron
