Krav Maga Classes at DLA Land and Maritime

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Krav Maga is the combat system used by the Israeli Defense Forces. At DLA Land & Maritime you have the opportunity to experience Krav Maga first hand. You can take a series of classes or come for one class. Self-defense is more important than ever so stop considering it and just do it, because you really can't be too prepared.

Defense Supply Center Columbus personnel stack donations of canned foods during the annual Feds Feed Families campaign. Each year, donations from federal employees support the Mid-Ohio Food Bank's Operation Feed food drive, bringing essential items to central Ohio families in need.

Feds Feed Families returns to DSCC

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The 2017 Feds Feed Families campaign returns for its ninth year June 28. This year’s goal for DSCC is to exceed 30,500 pounds of food items for the Mid-Ohio Food Bank.

Ability One Customer Appreciation Day

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ability One team celebrated Customer Appreciation Day by providing complimentary snacks and item samples to patrons as a way to thank customers for supporting their mission to employee Americans that are blind and visually impaired.

Members of the Level II mentoring program 2017 class along with their mentors and the DLA Land and Maritime Command Group following their May 24 graduation ceremony at Defense Supply Center Columbus. The group of 69 mentees is the largest mentoring class in the program’s history.

Land and Maritime recognizes mentoring program graduates

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Graduates from two classes of the Defense Logistics Agency Land Mentoring Program received recognition during separate events May 24.

Defense Supply Center Columbus was announced May 8 as a 2017 recipient of the Commander in Chief's Annual Award for Installation Excellence. Recipients of this highly competitive presidential award represent the highest standards of Department of Defense mission support in areas including quality of life, unit morale, energy conservation, environmental stewardship, safety and mission support.

Defense Supply Center Columbus recognized for installation excellence

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Secretary of Defense James Mattis announced Defense Supply Center Columbus as a 2017 recipient of the Commander in Chief’s Annual Award for Installation Excellence on May 8.

In 1984, President Ronald Reagan signed the first proclamation officially recognizing Military Spouse Appreciation Day. The Department of Defense then standardized the date by declaring the Friday before Mother's Day every year as Military Spouse Appreciation Day. In 1999, Congress officially made Military Spouse Appreciation Day a part of National Military Appreciation Month.
