Susquehanna’s Vaccaro selected for Commanders Mission Impact Award

Angela Vaccaro, distribution process worker supervisor at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Susquehanna, Pa., was awarded the prestigious Commander’s Mission Impact – Individual Award for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2015.

Tobyhanna division wins TYAD Safety Area of the Year award

The Packing, Warehouse and Small Parcel area of Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Tobyhanna, Pa., was awarded the Tobyhanna Army Depot Safety Area of the Year Award - Tenant Activity, for fiscal year 2015 for their work in ensuring employee safety.

DLA shows its commitment to the nuclear enterprise

The Defense Logistics Agency demonstrated its commitment to supporting America’s aging nuclear fleet with a memorandum of agreement outlining logistics support to the U.S. Strategic Command at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, Jan. 7.

DLA Distribution Operation Team’s Rozier honored at DLA 48th annual employee recognition ceremony

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — DLA Distribution Operation Team Atlanta team member Navy Senior Chief Logistics Specialist Vascoe Rozier III was honored as the agency’s Joint Reserve Force Senior Enlisted Member of the Year during DLA’s 48th annual employee recognition ceremony Dec. 10.

Tie down adjusters are used to secure heavy cargo being transported on military cargo planes.

DLA Aviation helps ensure safe transportation of vital equipment

RICHMOND, Virginia — Cindy Hunt is a contract specialist in Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Engines and Airframes Division. She has been a buyer for tie down adjusters since 2007. “The tie down adjuster has been a high visibility item for our division as it is a high demand item for troops around the world,” said Hunt.

DSCC Security and Emergency Services will host training to keep the workforce better informed on what to expect and how to react during an active shooter situation. The training, to be held Jan. 14 inside the Building 20 auditorium, is in accordance with the F.B.I. recommended ALERRT (Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training) program from the Texas State University.

It was standing room only in the McKeever Auditorium Jan 5 as Defense Logistics Agency Aviation employees gathered in a ceremony honoring Marine Corps 1st Sgt. Phu Cao’s promotion to the rank of master gunnery sergeant.
