Former employee receives DoD leadership award

ARLINGTON, Virginia — A former Defense Logistics Agency Energy Bulk Fuels Contracting division chief earned the 2015 Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Acquisition and Contracting Legends Award during a ceremony at the Pentagon Jan. 12.

Todd Briggs, who works as an acquisition supervisor in DLA Land and Maritime Supplier Operations, was inducted into the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame during a ceremony this past November at the Lincoln Theatre in downtown Columbus. He is presented his plaque by Ohio Lt. Governor Mary Taylor (right) and Chip Tansill (left), Ohio Director of Veterans Affairs. Briggs joins his father Morris as the only father-son duo in the hall.

AMC deputy commanding general visits Anniston distribution center

ANNISTON, Alabama — On Jan. 11, Army Lt. Gen. Larry Wyche, deputy commanding general of Army Material Command, visited Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Anniston, Ala., to discuss small arms operations and the distribution center’s wall-to-wall weapons inventory and item-unique identification labeling.

These showers, along with restrooms and other parts of the men's and women's locker rooms at the FMWR Fitness Center on Defense Supply Center Columbus will look significantly different in six months after a renovation project. The project starts towards the end of January and should end sometime early summer.
