Fall Fling brings Subsistence employees closer

Service dogs show their skills at disabilities program

Battle Creek, Michigan — The Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center’s People With Disabilities Program Oct. 5 had four special guests — including two who literally work their tails as they train to help former military personnel with post-traumatic stress disorder.

Security and Emergency Services prevents, protects, responds and recovers

Headquarters Complex organizations kick off charitable campaign

Since its inception, the Combined Federal Campaign has raised more than $8 billion for local and global charities, said Brad Bunn, the Defense Logistics Agency’s Human Resources director and DLA Headquarters vice chair for the 2016 campaign.

Fair emphasizes emergency readiness at work, home

Shelter in place awareness could save lives during a CBRNE incident

RICHMOND, VA — September is National Preparedness Month. One of the warnings you may be given if chemical, biological, nuclear or high explosives (CBRNE) may have been released into the atmosphere is to shelter in place (SIP). This is a precaution aimed to keep you safe while remaining indoors. SIP means selecting a small, interior room, with no or few windows, and taking refuge there. It does not mean sealing off your entire office building. The Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia CBRNE Annex Plan details what you should do if an CBRNE incident occurs on DSCR.

Signing up for local emergency alerts and warnings is one of the 10 ways to prepare for an emergency during America’s PrepareAthon! The FEMA campaign serves as the culmination of September’s National Preparedness Month.
