Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan — Defense Logistics Agency employees at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, recently welcomed the new commander of the 1st Theater Sustainment Command for a visit.

Fired up

When a serious fire involving two commercial tank trucks shut down a strategic defense fuel support point in Carson, California, June 5, DLA Energy Americas at San Pedro logisticians deployed several mitigation strategies employing five different supply chains to minimize Warfighter service disruption.

More than a dozen "DSR University" training sessions in Battle Creek July 23-25 will help the agency's front-line disposal specialists provide world-class support to warfighters at sites around the world.

Summer school in session for DSRs

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Disposal Services Representatives work directly with warfighters on property turn in. They have congregated in Michigan to help refine their role and plot their future.

Material Examiner and Identifier Joseph Davis Jr. uses a 10k extended boom forklift at the Overseas Contingency Operations Readiness Training exercise site in Fort Custer, Michigan, in June. New crop of Army food trucks to serve up healthy, fast meals for more soldiers

PHILADELPHIA — Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support recently purchased six state-of-the-art food trucks for the Army’s Joint Culinary Center of Excellence. The first of these new vehicles rolled through the Troop Support headquarters in Philadelphia while on its way to Fort Drum, New York July 9, where it will be used for training before it goes into service.
