DLA Land and Maritime Commander visits Troop Support

COLUMBUS, Ohio — DLA Land and Maritime Commander Navy Rear Adm. John Palmer signs his name on a presidential flag Oct 4 during a visit to DLA Troop Support. As part of his orientation tour, Palmer stopped by the flag room to learn how employees make military unit flags. The presidential and vice presidential flags are made at Troop Support. As part of tradition, when distinguished visitors stop by the flag room to learn the history, they are extended an opportunity to sign their name.

Land and Maritime Commander gets promotion nod

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Secretary of the Navy Richard V. Spencer and Chief of Naval Operations ADM John M. Richardson announced that Navy Rear Admiral (Lower Half) Michelle C. Skubic, who has been selected for promotion to the rank of Rear Admiral, will be assigned as Commander, Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) and Chief of Supply Corps, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Skubic is currently serving as commander, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Land and Maritime, Columbus, Ohio.

Cmdr. Thomas R. Marszalek retires from DLA Maritime Pearl Harbor

PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii — Cmdr. Thomas R. Marszalek, Director, DLA Maritime Pearl Harbor, retired onboard the Battleship USS Missouri on Aug. 23, 2017, after serving 28 years of faithful and honorable service in the U.S. Navy Capt. Timothy L. Daniels, Commander, DLA Pacific, officiated the retirement ceremony attended by honored guests, friends, family and shipmates.
