Coming full circle, Navy Captain retires where it all began

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Navy Captain Jeffrey A. Schmidt celebrated 35 years of military service during a retirement ceremony at the Mission Park Pavilion July 15 at the Defense Supply Center Columbus.

DLA Land and Maritime leadership changes hands during change of command ceremony.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Leadership transitioned in Columbus, Ohio as the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Commander, Navy Rear Adm. John T. Palmer turned over command to Navy Rear Adm. Kristen B. Fabry in a July 17, 2020 change of command ceremony. Fabry also assumed command of the Defense Supply Center Columbus as a dual command responsibility. The event was held in a pavilion area on the Defense Supply Center Columbus.

Army Colonel closes out stellar 27-year career

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Army Colonel Juanita Clarke closed out 27 years of military service June 30 as she bid farewell to Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime. In Clarke’s final assignment, she served as the director of DLA Land and Maritime’s Land Customer Operations Directorate leading a team of professionals providing support to more than 18,000 customers.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — During a June 25 virtual event broadcast from Defense Logistics Agency Headquarters, DLA Land and Maritime Acquisition Executive, Mark Brown was one of several field Senior Executives awarded the DLA Exceptional Civilian Service Award honoring their contributions to supporting our nation’s military services.

Exit Interview with Land and Maritime Chief of Staff

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime will complete a changeover this month in its Chief of Staff position, a critical leadership component in ensuring successful daily operations. Outgoing Chief of Staff U.S. Air Force Col. Janette D. Ketchum is transitioning to her next command challenge as the pace of military moves picks up amid the COVID-19 environment.

Next DLA Land and Maritime commander announced

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Department of Defense announced June 2 that U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Kristen Fabry, director of logistics, fleet supply and ordnance for U.S. Pacific Fleet, will succeed Rear Adm. John Palmer as commander of the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime.

DLA Maritime Pearl Harbor commander earns meritorious award

JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii — Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Commander Navy Rear Adm. John T. Palmer was on hand Feb. 28 to recognize DLA Maritime Pearl Harbor Director Cdr. Bruce Reilly with the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for his exceptional service.
