DLA Aviation, Air Force award contract for aircraft component support
RICHMOND, Va. — Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Ogden's Strategic Contracting Division on Hill Air Force Base, Utah, jointly with the Hill Air Force Base Commodity Council, awarded a $444M performance-based logistics contract which allows Parker Aerospace to directly provide support to actuators for multiple Air Force aircrafts. Actuators help control the various aircraft hydraulic components.

DLA Aviation welcomes its 34th commander during change of command ceremony
Richmond, Va. — Air Force Brig. Gen. David Sanford relinquished command to Air Force Brig. Gen. Sean Tyler June 30, making Tyler the 34th commander of Defense Logistics Agency Aviation during a Change of Command ceremony in the Frank B. Lotts Conference Center at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. Sanford, who was selected for major general, will be director of logistics, engineering and force protection for Headquarters Air Mobility Command at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.

Family members of early DSCR landowner pay respects to their ancestors
RICHMOND, Va. — In 1797, Richard Gregory, one of the wealthiest landowners in Chesterfield County, Virginia, purchased 1,000 acres of land Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, sits on today. On this land he built Manor House, now known as the Bellwood House. It’s one of the oldest houses in Chesterfield County and is listed as a national historic landmark.
