Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Col. Mark Hirschinger, chief, Army Customer Facing Division, Customer Operations Directorate, cuts the Army birthday cake June 13, 2017 with Sgt. The cake ceremony is a long standing Army tradition where the soldier with longest time in service cuts the cake with the soldier with the least amount of time in service using the ceremonial military saber.

Richmond, Virginia — Soldiers and Defense Logistics Agency Aviation employees celebrated the Army’s 242nd birthday with a ceremony at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia.

The program collects clothing for newborn to 1 year-old children of families who have been identified by local nurses and social service agencies.

San Diego’s culture committee teams up with local NPOs

San Diego — The Culture Committee at Defense Logistics Agency Aviation-San Diego collaborated with a local non-profit organization and held a clothing drive in May to provide baby items for newborn to 1-year-olds throughout San Diego County.

Aviation Supplier Industry Days bring government, businesses together

RICHMOND, Virginia — Defense Logistics Agency Aviation Supplier Industry Days kicked off May 16 in the Frank B. Lotts Conference Center on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, for a two-day conference bringing industry business leaders and owners to participate in discussions getting the DLA Aviation acquisition professionals representing warfighter demand and suppliers together.

DORRA employees graduate from 14-week Army Logistics University course

Richmond, Va. — Three Defense Logistics Agency Office of Operations Research and Resource Analysis employees recently graduated from a prestigious Army training course.
