Sasebo director retires after 41 years of service

Kenneth “Joe” Pirman, director of DLA Distribution Yokosuka at Sasebo, Japan, will retire on Dec. 31, after 41 combined years of military and federal service.

Lucio returns to Puget Sound as deputy commander

Susan Lucio has been announced as the newest deputy commander of DLA Distribution Puget Sound, Washington. Lucio previously served as the distribution center’s distribution facilities manager from 2008 to 2011.

Duke Heinz, commander of Naval Supply Systems Command Weapons Systems Support, visited DLA Distribution headquarters in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, on Dec. 15 to discuss how DLA Distribution supports the storage and distribution of critical parts for the Navy through its global network.

USASAC Commanding General and Command Sergeant Major visits DLA Distribution

U.S. Army Security Assistance Command’s commanding general, Maj. Gen. Stephen Farmen, and Command Sgt. Major Gene Canada, visited DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, on Dec. 15. Their day began with a command brief presented by Col. Brad Eungard, DDSP Commander, followed by a tour of facilities on the New Cumberland Depot.
