14th annual Fuels Exchange Agreement Forum

Strengthening NATO relationships and laying the groundwork for new fuel agreements, 13 countries and 64 participants gathered for the 14th annual Fuel Exchange Forum in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, Sept. 25-27. Defense Logistics Agency Energy Europe and Africa has hosted the annual meeting since 2007.

After years of advancing in the rankings, this year the Defense Logistics Agency beat the competition to win the Fort Belvoir Commander’s Cup for the first time, and 35 DLA Energy athletes played a significant role in helping earn the win.

DLA Energy Commander addresses the workforce

After only 23 days on the job, Air Force Brig. Gen. Albert Miller, the Defense Logistics Agency Energy Commander, gathered employees for an All Hands at the McNamara Headquarters Complex, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Oct. 2.

Airmen at Aviano Air Base, Italy filled the Army and Air Force Exchange Service sales store to purchase the Operational Camouflage Pattern utility uniform October 1, 2018. DLA Troop Support Clothing and Textiles worked with its Air Force counterparts and other key stakeholders since April to ensure more than 17,000 uniforms were delivered to five military clothing sales stores, including Aviano Air Base, Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C., Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina and MacDill AFB, Florida for the initial fielding.

Saving energy on DoD’s largest joint base

The U.S. Air Force Civil Engineer Center announced a new energy savings performance contract to increase energy resiliency at the Department of Defense’s largest joint base, Joint Base San Antonio in Texas, Sept. 28. As an execution agent for Joint Base San Antonio and Air Force Civil Engineer Center, Defense Logistics Agency Energy’s Installation Energy team awarded an Energy Savings Performance Contract.

PHILADELPHIA — “When reports of the storm and its possible impact began surfacing, the DLA Troop Support team began working with our customers and vendors to ensure supplies needed for victims in the affected areas would be available,” Navy Capt. PHILADELPHIA — Two DLA Troop Support employees were recognized for their 68 years of combined service during a retirement ceremony Sept. 26 in Philadelphia. Anita Parker,Procurement Process Support, and Philip DiBabbo, Medical supply chain, both retired with 34 years of service.
