Air Force general takes command of DLA Energy

Air Force Brig. Gen. Albert Miller took command of DLA Energy during a ceremony at the McNamara Headquarters Complex, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Sept. 10. DLA Director Army Lt. Gen. Darrell Williams presided over the ceremony and participated in the time-honored flag passing ceremony where Miller accepted the colors from DLA Energy Acting Commander Guy Beougher.

DLA Troop Support Europe & Africa employees recognized for excellence

KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany — Employees at DLA Troop Support Europe & Africa were recognized for their efforts to support the warfighter and other valued customers during a ceremony Aug. 28 in Kaiserslautern, Germany.

Air Force Col. Melvin Maxwell is the new DLA Troop Support Clothing and Textiles director, after onboarding in August. Maxwell previously served at the Pentagon as chief of the enterprise strategy and analysis branch under the deputy chief of staff at Air Force Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Clothing and Textiles’ new director ‘excited to support warfighter’

PHILADELPHIA — An Air Force officer now leads the team responsible for outfitting military service members with uniforms, equipment and more, by taking the reigns as Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Clothing and Textiles’ director.

DLA Troop Support employees follow along as a team of Industrial Hardware acquisition professionals help prepare them for acquisition training they will attend in the coming months.

CON 090 “Boot Camp” boosts new acquisition pros’ knowledge, confidence

PHILADELPHIA — Employees entering the acquisition workforce at DLA Troop Support can now better prepare for the rigors of training required to become certified in their field through the “CON 090 Boot Camp.” With a focus on employee development, the boot camp helps new hires to overcome the pressures of the 30-day resident Defense Acquisition University “Federal Acquisition Regulation Fundamentals” course.
