A tribute to the Warfighters who are “fueling the line” over the holidays

A tribute poem to Warfighters who "fuel the line” was written by Air Force Col. Loren M. Reno on Nov. 26, 1997 when he was assigned to Split, Croatia, as part of Operation Joint Endeavor. He returned to DLA as a major general and served as the Vice Director from Oct. 2005 to May 2007. Reno was inducted into the DLA Hall of Fame in August 2014 at the McNamara Headquarters Complex on Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Chaplain resources help military members practice their faith

A fuel handler’s storied 42-year career

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — Chuck Allyson’s storied career in fuel has carried him from Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland; through Fort Lee and Fort Belvoir in Virginia; to Germany, South Korea, and Alaska. His final duty assignment landed him traveling throughout the northeast region of New England. After 21 years in the Army and another 21 years working as a civilian DLA fuel quality assurance representative, it’s time to move on.
