Professional development session improves support to special operations missions

Eleven active duty military members from the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support went to Gilbert Spruance Elementary School in Philadelphia to read to students in kindergarten through third grade for National Read Across America Day on Mar. 2, which coincides with Dr. Seuss’ birthday.

PHILADELPHIA — For 40 years, warfighters have feasted on the “famous” Meal, Ready-to-Eat. But thanks to a partnership between the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Subsistence supply chain and the Department of Defense Combat Feeding Directorate, that is not the only individual combat ration available.

Philadelphia — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support bid farewell to three civilian employees during a retirement ceremony February 27 in Philadelphia. Jayne Branigan, from Procurement, retired after 42 years of service to the federal government. Emma Green, from the Construction and Equipment supply chain, retired after 31 years of federal service.
