FORT BELVOIR, Va. — The DLA Energy Fiscal Year 2021 Fact Book is online! DLA Energy is the only DLA Major Subordinate Command that publishes an annual report containing a snapshot of the facts, figures, and financial information from the previous fiscal year.

DSCR testing mass warning system during Virginia annual tornado drill March 8

RICHMOND, Va. — Virginia Severe Weather Awareness Week 2022 takes place March 7-11. On March 8, the annual tornado response drill will take place throughout many cities and counties within the commonwealth. During the drill, Defense Logistics Agency Installation Management Richmond employees on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, will test the mass warning notification system, Giant Voice, with a "seek shelter" message.

December employees of the month recognized for exemplary work performance

RICHMOND, Va. — Trang Ho Nguyen, an inventory management specialist in the Materiel Management Division of Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Cherry Point, North Carolina, and Christina Nelson, a customer support specialist lead in the Materiel Management Division of DLA Aviation at Jacksonville, Florida, were both named DLA Aviation Employees of the Month for December 2021.

DLA chemist leading efforts in alternative fuel, other DOD bulk fuel initiatives

FORT BELVOLIR, Va. — Lindsey Hicks has served the Defense Logistics Agency as a pioneering chemist for over 30 years. He is currently the program manager leading DLA Research & Development’s Energy Readiness Program supporting the Defense Department’s bulk fuel and energy supply system. ERP’s strategic focus areas are fuel refining and distribution, fuel instability and contamination issues, and alternative fuel certification efforts.

He’s the Hardware/Nuclear Reactors Program Branch chief within the Planning Material Division of Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Planning Programs Directorate in Richmond, Virginia.

DLA Energy hosted the seminar for members of the military petroleum community to collaborate and plan for current, future, and emerging energy needs in the joint petroleum arena.
