DLA Energy’s Pacific pivot begins in the Americas

SAN PEDRO, California — The Department of Defense is continuing to move forward with its strategy to reposition and rebalance its assets in the Pacific area of responsibility to better support the warfighter and preserve security. DLA Energy regional offices, including DLA Energy Americas, will serve as a jumping off point for the organization of that logistical undertaking.

Army Reserve fuelers support DLA Energy during nationwide exercise

FORT BRAGG, North Carolina — Army Reserve Soldiers from 18 states participated in the Quartermaster Liquid Logistics Exercise June 7-20 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. About 1,100 Soldiers came from as far away as Michigan and Puerto Rico and as near as North Carolina to haul fuel for the Defense Logistics Agency.

Quartermaster soldiers set up a fuel station in Camp Pendleton, Calif., as part of Quartermaster Liquid Logistics Exercise 2014. QLLEX is a joint forces exercise that 64 units at eight locations across the continental U.S. will deliver more than 3.25 million gallons of petroleum and produce 479,000 gallons of water, designed to challenge and develop the battalion's staff military decision making skills. Muhammad retires, passes responsibility to Tobin
