DLA Distribution warehouse utilization saves Marines millions

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — A DOD-led effort to optimize warehouse management is saving the Marine Corps millions at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Barstow, California. DLA employees teamed with the Defense Department, the Marine Corps at Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow in California and a contracted agency on the project.

New fuel agreement with United Kingdom for Scotland fuel storage

DLA Energy signed a new fuel support agreement with United Kingdom Naval Command Headquarters to improve coordination and contingency operations. This fuel agreement along with ones recently signed with Lithuania, India and Romania bring the total number of DLA Energy fuel agreements with allies around the world to 42.

DLA Disposition Services COREX team demonstrates “Semper Gumby” philosophy

JOINT REGION MARIANAS, Guam — A team of U.S. Navy Sailors and Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services civilians recently completed a two-week Contingency Overseas Readiness Exercise on the Pacific island of Guam. The team was able to deploy the Expeditionary Site Set equipment but challenges with some of the equipment began to present themselves.
