DLA Energy fuels Mars rocket launch

Carrying equipment destined for Mars, a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket fueled by DLA Energy blasted off from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, July 30. The rocket carried the $2.7 billion NASA's Mars 2020 Perseverance rover in to space on a 300-million-mile voyage.

Millions of personal protective equipment arriving at DLA Distribution Susquehanna for FEMA’s COVID-19 response efforts

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — The Defense Department’s lead agency for logistics is processing, storing and shipping personal protective equipment for the Federal Emergency Management Agency as it assists hospitals dealing with rising COVID-19 infections across the country.

Airmen, Soldiers practice emergency response during DLA fuel spill prevention, response training

WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Whiteman Air Force Base website — Fuel is the lifeblood of the mission, but spills directly threaten ground water and the environment at large. To better prepare for emergencies, members of the 509th Logistics Readiness Squadron, 509th Civil Engineer Squadron and the U.S. Army’s 1-135th Assault Helicopter Battalion participated in a DLA Energy fuel spill exercise, July 21-22.

DLA Distribution Norfolk fulfills resupply mission for Operation Pacer Goose

NORFOLK, Va. — Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Norfolk, Virginia’s Pier 8 is a hotbed of activity every summer in preparation of Operation Pacer Goose, an annual resupply mission to Thule Air Base, a remote U.S. Air Force base in the Arctic region of Greenland.
