DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Dover Air Force Base website —The mission of the 436th and 512th Airlift Wings at Dover Air Force Base is to provide worldwide rapid global airlift. The flying squadrons of Dover account for 20 percent of the nation’s outsized strategic airlift capability. Dover is also home to the largest aerial port in the Department of Defense.

Recycling Used Oil in Hawaii

PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii — When Daniel Muranaka learned the Navy was spending a lot of money to dispose of its used fuel oil, he decided to do something about it – and found a way to not only save up to $1 million per year but actually generate a revenue.

DLA Pacific commander sees DLA Energy capability firsthand in Okinawa

The commander of Defense Logistics Agency Pacific recently gained a firsthand appreciation of DLA Energy’s fuel-distribution capabilities to U.S. military bases in Japan, in an Aug. 27 visit.

Upgraded facilities to keep Edwards vehicles running for years to come

EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Edwards Air Force Base website — The 412th Civil Engineer Group celebrated the completion of repairs and upgrades to the main base military gas station Feb. 26. Base civil engineers and contractors from Gilbane Federal got together to cut the ceremonial ribbon signifying the completion of the $1,187,000 project.
