PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii — When Daniel Muranaka learned the Navy was spending a lot of money to dispose of its used fuel oil, he decided to do something about it – and found a way to not only save up to $1 million per year but actually generate a revenue.

DLA Pacific commander sees DLA Energy capability firsthand in Okinawa

The commander of Defense Logistics Agency Pacific recently gained a firsthand appreciation of DLA Energy’s fuel-distribution capabilities to U.S. military bases in Japan, in an Aug. 27 visit.

Upgraded facilities to keep Edwards vehicles running for years to come

Base civil engineers and contractors from Gilbane Federal got together to cut the ceremonial ribbon signifying the completion of the $1,187,000 project.

SAN PEDRO, California — Tank 17, the last tank to be filled with foam crete and solidify, marks the milestone closure of 27 underground tanks at the U.S. Navy owned Defense Fuel Support Point in San Pedro, California, July 20.

Australia and DLA Energy sign fuel exchange agreement

NATIONAL HARBOR, Maryland — Australia and DLA Energy signed a new Fuel Exchange Agreement April 12 during the 2017 Worldwide Energy Conference at the Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center, National Harbor, Maryland.

DLA Energy contracted 25 fuel trucks in support of the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Incident Support Base at Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, Georgia, to support anticipated Hurricane Matthew relief operations.The trucks brought more than 123,000 gallons of gasoline and diesel fuel to MCLB Albany Oct. 6.

Defense Logistics Agency Energy is providing essential fuel support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency in response to ongoing Hurricane Matthew relief operations in the United States and Haiti.
