Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Subsistence branch’s Culture Improvement Team hosted a Subsistence Pizza Fundraiser during lunch on February 7, 2023. This event was the first since the COVID-19 pandemic and is geared towards raising funds to host future events to raise morale for the supply chains at DLA Troop Support.

Troop Support employees recognized at DLA annual awards

PHILADELPHIA — Adam Tutolo, Construction and Equipment lead commodity support liaison, received the Employee of the Year award, while Army Maj. Jean’Shay D. Moore, C&E acquisition officer, was awarded the Field Grade Officer of the Year, and the Equal Employment Opportunity office received the Achievement in EEO by an Organization award during the DLA’s 55th Annual Employee Recognition Awards held Jan 26 at the McNamara Headquarters Complex on Fort Belvoir, Va.

MIAMI (Dec. 12, 2022) -- A shipment of 300,000 packets of Oral Rehydration Salts, donated by U.S. Southern Command, is loaded onto an Amerijet cargo plane for transit to Haiti. DLA Troop Support Medical supply chain procured the ORS packets for SOUTHCOM who, through their Humanitarian Assistance Program, donated them to the Haitian and Pan American Health Organization. Medical assists with Haiti cholera relief efforts

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support’s Medical supply chain procured 300,000 Oral Rehydration Salt packets last month to support Haiti’s response to a Cholera outbreak within the Caribbean nation.

The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77), along with the embarked staff of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 10, arrives in Marseille, France, for a scheduled port visit Dec. 29, 2022. The George H.W. Bush CSG is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S., allied, and partner interests.

NAVSUP, Army Logistics Leaders Continue Collaboration Efforts Aboard George H.W. Bush

MEDITERRANEAN SEA — Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center Sigonella and the U.S. Army's 21st Theater Sustainment Command have been collaborating in recent years to develop and test contingency plans in the European Theater.

Three Troop Support retirees honored for 97 total years of service

Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support held a civilian retirement ceremony in honor of Raymond Hosey, Rhonda Marie Johnson, and Cesar Galvis Rodriguez on Jan. 26, 2023.

Troop Support expedites internal onboarding process through CPI project

PHILADELPHIA — The DLA Troop Support Organizational Alignment Division, Continuous Process Improvement and Pathways to Career Excellence teams partnered to expedite internal onboarding of entry-level personnel into their new permanent roles within the organization.

The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support's Medical supply chain is acquiring a maximum of $803 million worth of antigen COVID-19 tests over the next year for the Department of Health and Human Services to replenish the Strategic National Stockpile. The first purchase for 180 million tests was awarded on December 22 with deliveries continuing through April.

Medical continues COVID support efforts with $803 million acquisition

PHILADELPHIA — In continued support of the nation’s ongoing COVID-19 efforts, the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support’s Medical supply chain is providing up to $803 million worth of COVID antigen test kits to the Department of Health and Human Services over the next year.

Product Test Center brings augmented reality to vendor partners

PHILADELPHIA — The Product Test Center Analytical at Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support introduced augmented reality headsets for the purposes of performing remote inspections for DLA Troop Support Clothing and Textile suppliers during a demonstration on January 9th.
