DLA senior leaders impressed with Troop Support's confidence, efficiency

PHILADELPHIA — DLA's senior enlisted leader and foreign policy advisor learned about Troop Support's mission and capabilities during a visit to Philadelphia Oct. 8.

Soldiers from the South Carolina Army National Guard move supplies from a Boeing CH-47 Chinook helicopter in Kingstree, South Carolina during a statewide flood response, Oct. 6. DLA Troop Support's Subsistence supply chain will provide Fort Jackson with water and food at least through the weekend.

Subsistence provides food, water to Fort Jackson after historic South Carolina flooding

PHILADELPHIA — Following historic floods there during the last week, meals and water have arrived at Fort Jackson, South Carolina thanks in part to DLA Troop Support’s Subsistence supply chain.

PHILADELPHIA — Subsistence employees toured a field kitchen that Pennsylvania National Guard soldiers set up while staged at the NSA Philadelphia compound in support of the Papal visit.

IH employees get the bigger picture during DLA Distribution visit

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Seeing the process of how repair parts go from contract award to the hands of the warfighter was the goal of a visit Sept. 15 to a DLA Distribution warehouse.

Christopher Mosher, DLA Troop Support Subsistence director, presents John Bulovas, a former World War II POW, with a token of appreciation for sharing his experience during the Philadelphia Compound Veterans Committee’s annual POW/MIA Remembrance ceremony Sept. 15 in Philadelphia. Kaiserslautern, Germany — Defense Logistics Agency Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch made a site visit to DLA Energy Europe & Africa headquarters in Kaiserslautern, Germany, Aug. 14 during a weeklong trip to the region.

VINELAND, New Jersey — DLA’s senior enlisted leader Army Command Sgt. Maj. Charles Tobin lauded a long-time uniform manufacturer during his visit to three DLA Troop Support Clothing and Textiles vendors Aug. 19.

Air Force Master Sgt. Woodrow Ruff (left) and Army Staff Sgt. Brandon Miller (right) were selected July 27 as DLA Senior and Junior NCO of the Third Quarter, respectively. DLA Troop Support Chief of Staff Robert Ratner hailed Ruff and Miller as two of the organization’s “best and brightest.”

Two of Troop Support’s ‘best and brightest’ earn NCO of the quarter

PHILADELPHIA — Two DLA Troop Support service members are being recognized for their dedication and commitment to the agency’s mission by being named NCOs of the quarter.

Army Brig. Gen. Charles Hamilton, DLA Troop Support commander, hands a pair of combat boots to an Air Force recruit receiving her initial clothing issue Aug. 6 at Lackland Air Force Base. Hamilton saw technology implemented by the Clothing and Textiles supply chain that helped cut the clothing issue time in half.
