Contractors are installing 252 geothermal wells to heat and cool the new Defense Logistics Agency Aviation Operations Center Feb. 17, 2016. The first phase of the three-phased, five-story, 252,000 square-feet building is scheduled for occupancy in late 2018 or early 2019.

Troop Support employees help welcome home Vietnam vets

PHILADELPHIA — The welcome home was worth the 50-year wait, one veteran said following a Vietnam War Commemoration program March 29. DLA Troop Support employees helped cheer for more than 400 Vietnam vets as they paraded down a red carpet to the ceremony.

The HQC Health Unit offers a variety of services, free of charge, to all employees of HQC tenant organizations.

Busch addresses alma mater; urges interagency partnership, faster response

WASHINGTON, D.C. — DLA Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch returned to the National Defense University March 28, where he discussed the importance of strategic sustainment in today’s dynamic environment and outlined the role support agencies like DLA can provide.

DLA Aviation employee Comeicha Wells works in the purchasing acquisition career field and is Level II certified.

DLA Director visits, praises employees at DLA Disposition Services

Battle Creek, Michigan — Fresh from his March 12-21 tour of the Pacific, Defense Logistics Agency Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch traveled to Battle Creek, Michigan, to hear presentations on the DLA Disposition Services Annual Operating Plan and conduct a town hall session with DLA employees.

Warfighter Support Initiative brings DLA to the customers

The Defense Logistics Agency took to the road, traveling to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, in support of the Warfighter Support Initiative, March 22-23. DLA employees from 11 divisions brought face-to-face engagement to the logistics community of Fort Bragg and other military installations, to educate and inform them about how to better use DLA’s services and capabilities.
