DLA Distribution hosts incoming DLA Europe and Africa commander

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — Army Col. Ted Shinkle, incoming DLA Europe/Africa commander, visited DLA Distribution May 15 to discuss how DLA Distribution and DLA Europe/Africa collaborate to support United States European Command and United States Africa Command priorities.

TRACY, California — On May 11, Congressman Jeff Denham, U.S. House of Representatives, California 10th District, paid a visit to DLA Distribution San Joaquin, California. During his short visit, he took the opportunity to meet with the senior leadership of Distribution, Installation Support and the local union.

Distribution supports Operation Pacific Reach

POHANG, South Korea — DLA Distribution’s 25th distribution center, the Expeditionary Team with the support from a DLA Distribution Korea team deployed in support of Operation Pacific Reach, which is an exercise conducted every other year. This year’s exercise was held from April 10 through April 21 at Dogu Beach in Pohang, South Korea.

DLA’s director of logistics operations visits Norfolk distribution center

NORFOLK, Virginia — On May 2, Navy Rear Adm. Vincent Griffith, director of Defense Logistics Agency Logistics Operations, visited Norfolk, Virginia, for a tour of the pre-commissioned unit USS Ford, and of DLA Distribution’s operations.
