Navy birthday: “Tough, Bold and Ready” for 241 years

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — To commemorate the Navy’s 241st birthday and celebrate its theme “Tough, Bold and Ready,” DLA Distribution took a look back at the service’s rich history on Oct. 13.

Yokosuka distribution center welcomes new commander

YOKOSUKA, Japan — Navy Cmdr. Nolasco Villanueva assumed command of Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Yokosuka, Japan, in a ceremony on October 14. The ceremony was officiated by DLA Distribution commanding general Army Brig. Gen. John Laskodi.

Outgoing DLA Distribution Yokosuka, Japan, commander Navy Cmdr. Brian Johnson has received the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for his achievements in leading the distribution center from June 2014 to October 2016.

Susquehanna commander visits Troop Support headquarters

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania — To discuss how to improve vendor compliance within each of the supply chains DLA Troop Support manages, DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pa., commander Army Col. Brad Eungard visited the Primary-Level Field Activity’s headquarters in Philadelphia, Pa., in late September.

DLA Distribution issues 2016 flu vaccine

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — For the 10th year in a row, DLA Distribution is ensuring the storage and distribution of the seasonal influenza vaccine to military all over the globe.

Commander’s Cup winners announced following final event in series

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — New Cumberland Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation officially closed out its sixth annual Commander’s Cup, which ran from May 20 through September 23, with a 10k race.
