Agency welcomes seven new honorees into Hall of Fame
FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — The Defense Logistics Agency inducted seven honorees into its Hall of Fame in a Sept. 20, 2016, ceremony at the McNamara Headquarters Complex, attended by current and former senior leaders from throughout the agency and the Office of the Secretary of Defense, as well as the families of the honorees.

Red River’s Chatman makes use of DLA’s Health and Wellness program to lose 130 pounds
RED RIVER, Texas — Roshad Chatman, a material handler at DLA Distribution Red River, Texas, faced a harsh reality when at 409 pounds, he lost his license to drive the stock selector. The stock selector license carries a weight limit of 300 pounds, meaning he would have to lose 109 pounds.

One of the 2016 inductees into the DLA Hall of Fame, Kent “Rocky” Galbraith, spent 38 years with DLA, beginning as a warehouse worker at Defense Depot Ogden Utah in 1966.

Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna remembers 9/11 and POW/MIAs during ceremony
New Cumberland, PENNSYLVANIA — On September 9, Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna employees gathered two days before the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks to remember and honor those who died on that day, and those men and women who selflessly responded with courage and compassion. The ceremony also remembered those American warriors who are listed as Prisoners of War or still Missing in Action.

Distributions Expeditionary team provides support to Louisiana flood victims
MONTGOMERY, Alabama — In an effort to support humanitarian efforts in the wake of the overwhelming flooding in Louisiana, DLA Distribution’s Expeditionary team, Distributions 25th distribution center, has deployed to operate the Incident Support Base in support of FEMA Region IV Defense Support to Civil Authorities at Maxwell Air Force Base located in Montgomery, Ala.
