DLA Aviation monitors, expands contract to include COVID-19 combatants
RICHMOND, Va. — In February, DLA Aviation started looking at its chemical, petroleum, oils and lubricants contract with Science Applications International Corporation to review products available to fight the spread of the coronavirus.

Agency locates 47,000 excess N95 masks for Coast Guard responders
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — A respirator lot was retrieved by DLA Disposition Services personnel from an excess property contract sales warehouse where they had been sent prior to the coronavirus outbreak.
Teamwork provides protective masks quickly
ALBANY, Georgia — Quick efforts by elements of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, the Defense Logistics Agency and U.S. Transportation Command moved 154,000 N95 masks from storage at Albany, Georgia, to make them available to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services or the military in their response to COVID-19.

Aviation signs contract to certify engine part built through additive manufacturing process for airworthiness
RICHMOND, Va. — Defense Logistics Agency Aviation, the Air Force and General Electric signed a contract March 17 to construct and evaluate an engine part for airworthiness produced using additive manufacturing processes. It is a first for DLA and the Air Force.
Despite COVID-19 delays, DLA delivers Seder kits to soldiers in Germany for Passover
KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany — An emergency order of Seder kits was held up, partly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, on its way to help Jewish soldiers with the 2nd Cavalry Regiment in Vilseck, Germany, celebrate the Passover holiday. DLA reps maintained constant contact with the Army unit's chaplain throughout the delivery.
