SkillBridge fellow use program as steppingstone for career advancement

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — Army Master Sgt. Errica Watkins participated in the Defense Department's SkillBridge Program with the Defense Logistics Agency Energy Americas North at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. Watkins, a first-time participant in the program, completed her fellowship at DLA Energy Americas North from August to October 2025.

DLA Energy commander visits Indo-Pacific South, emphasizes support capabilities for sustained warfighter readiness

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — DLA Energy Commander Navy Rear Adm. George Bresnihan concluded a visit to Papua New Guinea and Australia where he reinforced the critical role Defense Fuel Support Points play in supporting military readiness and regional security. At each location, he highlighted the importance of these fuel storage sites as a crucial component for fulfilling the military’s vast energy requirements.

SkillBridge Program: Service member gains experience with DLA Energy Quality Technical Directorate

FORT BELVOIR, Va — Air Force Master Sgt. Matthew Nichols participated in a Department of Defense SkillBridge program with the Defense Logistics Agency Energy Quality Technical Directorate at Fort Belvoir, Va, from May to September 2025. Nichols was one of two first-time participants selected for the five-month fellowship at DLA Energy.

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — The Ships' Bunkers Easy Acquisition (SEA) Card® program, a Defense Logistics Agency Energy program that revolutionized how military and federal vessels acquire fuel worldwide marked its 20th anniversary. Launched in October 2005, the initiative replaced a cumbersome, paper-based system with a secure, internet-based platform for ordering, receiving, and invoicing fuel.

DLA Weapons Support integrates the missions of DLA Aviation and DLA Land and Maritime into a single unified command responsible for weapon systems support to the joint force.
