Former Fort Belvoir garrison commander speaks about disabilities, dignity and devotion

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — Retired Army Col. Gregory D. Gadson, a bilateral above-the-knee amputee, was a guest speaker at the McNamara Headquarters Complex, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Oct. 16. He reminded employees that everybody has challenges – visible and invisible – and to strive to extend dignity and respect to everyone every single day.

Double amputee veteran perseveres with faith, humor

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — Retired Army Col. Gregory Gadson credits God and his military team members for the ability to forge a new path as an entrepreneur, speaker, actor and advocate for wounded warriors after an IED rendered him a double amputee.

DLA fuels THAAD deployment to Romania, helps maintain missile defense

Portable electronic devices not allowed in areas approved for classified material

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — Portable electronic devices can pose a security threat by allowing sensitive or classified information to be compromised. DLA Director Army Lt. Gen. Darrell Williams recently signed a policy restricting use of PEDs in agency-owned or controlled spaces approved for classified information storage and processing.

Team DLA named Fort Belvoir Commander’s Cup champion for 2nd year
