FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — We make the mistake of thinking domestic violence happens only to other people—people we don’t know who, for reasons we can’t imagine, find themselves in dangerous situations fraught with emotional and physical pain.

DLA senior enlisted leader visits senior enlisted advisor to the Joint Chiefs

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — The Defense Logistics Agency’s top enlisted leader visited with the senior enlisted advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff this week as part of an effort to increase the relationship between the agency and the military services.

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — October is Crime Prevention Month and security officials in Defense Logistics Agency Installation Support are encouraging employees to help the agency combat crime, including theft and fraud, in the workplace.

The Air Force’s system that provides cradle-to-grave tracking, management and reporting capabilities for hazardous materials and waste is now under the management of Defense Logistics Agency Information Operations and DLA Logistics Operations.

DLA takes responsibility for Air Force’s Hazardous Material Management System

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — The Air Force’s system for tracking and managing hazardous materials and waste is now under the management of Defense Logistics Agency Information Operations and DLA Logistics Operations.

Defense Logistics Agency Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Andy Busch hands the agency’s signed assertion letters to Simone Reba, deputy director of DLA Finance Sept. 30. The letters, which state that the agency’s financial statements are ready for its first full audit, will now be sent to the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller) for review and approval.

Finish line in sight for agency’s first full audit; corrective actions, sustainment next steps

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — The Defense Logistics Agency is nearing the finish line toward its first full audit, two years ahead of the congressionally mandated 2017 target, with the signing of three audit readiness assertion letters. The signed letters will now be sent to the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller) for review and approval.
