DSCC plants saplings at MWR Sports Park

The Defense Supply Center Columbus Installation Management Team planted 50 tree saplings at the DSCC MWR Sports Park this summer. The saplings were donated through an Urban Tree Project partnership in consult with the City of Columbus and the Urban Tree Master Plan Project to identify sites for potential tree plantings and expand the city’s existing tree canopy.

Land and Maritime Commander recognizes Ohio Army National Guard’s COVID-19 vaccination contributions

Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Commander Navy Rear Adm. Kristen Fabry recognized 11 Ohio Army National Guard members for their support to the Defense Supply Center Columbus’ recently concluded vaccination effort during a June 29 appreciation event. The OHARNG also provided the medical facility and staff required to administer the vaccine. Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and DLA partnered in the effort.

Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime’s Sexual Assault Prevention Response Coordinator and Equal Employment Opportunity office combined to provide targeted training to the Defense Supply Center Columbus’ first responders June 24 as part of annual training requirements.
