Leadership summit informs supervisors on sexual assault prevention and response

PHILADELPHIA — Supervisors assigned to DLA Troop Support gained a better understanding of sexual assault prevention and response, DLA policy regarding sexual assault, and how to respond if faced with a SAPR-related incident during a SAPR leadership summit March 1.

Two students proceed through the lunch line at Sayre School District in Pennsyvania. The school district gets its fresh fruits and vegetables through a partnership between DLA Troop Support and the USDA School Lunch program.

School children, warfighters help each other through DLA food-acquisition partnership

PHILADELPHIA — A partnership between the USDA and DOD is enabling the warfighter and school districts to spend money more efficiently while providing nutritious foods. The USDA DOD Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, which is managed by DLA Troop Support, leverages whole-of-government buying power.

Generators provided by DLA Troop Support await airlift by helicopter from Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, to Saint Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. The generators are part of the ongoing efforts to restore power to the islands devastated by Hurricane Maria

Troop Support hosts interactive program that highlights African-Americans in times of war

PHILADELPHIA — Vocalists performed renditions of several contemporary songs and older spiritual selections to accompany a video showcasing African-Americans’ service in every major conflict in U.S. history during a cultural observance presentation for employees at NSA Philadelphia.

PHILADELPHIA — Anthony J. Ruzicka's team from the Clothing and Textiles supply chain oversaw the fielding of two Navy uniforms, earning him DLA Troop Support's Supervisor of the Quarter.

DLA Aviation commander visits Troop Support

PHILADELPHIA — DLA Aviation Commander Air Force Brig. Gen. Linda Hurry visited Troop Support on Feb. 12 where she received an overview of Troop Support supply chain operations and engaged in specific dialogue with Industrial Hardware leadership.

Hardware like the wedge CLECOS being installed is procured through the contracting work done by the CCAD IPV team at Troop Support.

DLA team recognized for Corpus Christi Army Depot support

PHILADELPHIA — A DLA team that supports the Corpus Christi Army Depot was recognized for their part in helping keep military helicopters ready for flight. The CCAD Industrial Product-Support Vendor team manages an estimated $135 million contract that ensures 9,140 different parts are readily available to fill approximately 13,000 parts bins.

Troop Support service members visit local veteran patients

PHILADELPHIA — DLA Troop Support volunteers spent time with veteran patients to recognize them for their service at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center.

Personnel from a contracted DLA Troop Support Clothing and Textiles vendor in Erbil, Iraq package winter clothing kits for nearly 15,000 internally displaced persons returning to a liberated Raqqah, Syria December 19, 2017. C&T supported the U.S. Agency for International Development’s humanitarian support request for 2,500 winter clothing kits, including boots, socks, coats and blankets by mid-January.
