Troop Support commander recognizes employee excellence at awards ceremony

PHILADELPHIA — The commander of DLA Troop Support recognized 137 employees during a quarterly awards ceremony Dec. 19.

Seventeen DLA Troop Support retirees with 638 combined years of service were honored during a retirement ceremony Dec. 21. The group, standing with DLA Troop Support Commander Army Brig. Gen. Mark Simerly, was the largest to retire during 2017.

PHILADELPHIA — Seventeen DLA Troop Support retirees with 638 years of combined service were recognized during a retirement ceremony Dec. 21.

Army Chief Warrant Officer 4 Timothy Hagans is a food service technician serving in the Subsistence supply chain as part of the Army's career broadening program. Broadening assignments allow soldiers to gain knowledge and skills that complement those they acquired through Army service.

PHILADELPHIA — Leonard Shannon is the DLA Troop Support Employee of the Month for October. He had an integral part in collecting more than 3,000 pounds of food that was donated to Philabundance, the Philadelphia area's largest hunger relief organization.
