The Defense Logistics Agency provided quick-turn subsistence support to the USS Carter Hall during their recovery mission of the Chinese high-altitude surveillance balloon shot down off the coast of Myrtle Beach, SC on February 4, 2023. Supplies were delivered on February 9, 2023 with the coordination of Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville.

Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support hosted an event in Philadelphia to invite Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support members and a few foreign officers also stationed at Naval Support Activity Philadelphia, on 10 February, to enjoy breakfast and refreshments while also engaging in conversation and collaboration amongst each other.

Navy saves millions using DLA Disposition Services for ship recycling

Battle Creek, Mich — Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services is assisting the U.S. Navy in recycling five retired ships as part of a scrap sales contract to protect the environment and save taxpayer money.
