DLA Troop Support helps 1st Stryker Brigade keep its chill

The 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, based at Fort Carson, Colorado, requested 365 coolers for training exercises at the Fort Irwin National Training Center in San Bernardino County, California. The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support’s Subsistence supply chain made sure the coolers were delivered in preparation for the training exercise in the Mojave Desert.

Troop Support celebrates Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders during virtual presentation

Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support employees celebrated Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month during a virtual presentation July 29. Keynote speaker Sandy Hoa Dang, a social entrepreneur, experienced executive, leadership trainer, and management consultant, shared experiences from her life to give the audience a small glimpse into a large and rich Asian American Pacific Islander story.

The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Command welcomed Army 1st Lt. Brett Harris as the Aide de Camp on July 13. Harris replaces Navy Lt. Junior Grade Kevin Marvel in the role directly supporting to the commander.

DLA medical logistics team provides personal protective equipment to new COVID hotspots

The Defense Logistics Agency is providing much needed personal protective equipment and test supplies to state and local hotspots as COVID-19 cases continue rising in the U.S. The DLA Troop Support medical team worked with DLA Distribution during the July 4 holiday to fulfill multiple requests for items used at test sites in Texas, Florida and Louisiana.

DLA, VA partnership grows into the Northwest

As a result of a growing partnership between the Defense Logistics Agency and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, VA facilities in Spokane and Seattle, Washington will now use DLA Troop Support Medical supply chain’s Medical/Surgical Prime Vendor program to acquire medical and surgical items through the program’s worldwide procurement system.

C&T employees recognized for mission support during pandemic

As the Defense Logistics Agency continues supporting COVID-19 efforts across the globe, DLA Troop Support Commander Army Brig. Gen. Gavin Lawrence recognized employees maintaining the mission and meeting new requirements June 30 during a virtual performance review. “Our warfighters and other customers have continued to be recipients of your dynamic support and superior service,” Lawrence told employees who’ve spent the past four months teleworking.

The Defense Logistics Agency is shipping a second 7-day supply of COVID-19 personal protective equipment to support staff and residents at over 15,000 nursing homes nationwide after completing delivery of $67 million worth of equipment June 12.

The DLA Sexual Assault Prevention and Response program is launching an awareness and prevention campaign featuring events that would have been held during SAAPM, with a theme and hashtag of “Not Just April.” The events, which employees can participate in whether they are in the office or teleworking, start this month with Teal Tuesdays.
