While salt application to roadways is a common practice for driver safety, the excess salt may pollute streams and lakes making it difficult for fish, frogs, mussels, insects and waterfowl to survive.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime celebrated Logistics Specialist 1st Class Chelsea Spicer on her recent acceptance to Navy Officer Candidate School Nov. 29. She will report to OCS at Naval Station Newport in Rhode Island in January to complete the 13-week course for commission as a supply corps officer.
