Welcome to July! Here’s what’s going on in the Defense Enterprise Data Standards Office (DEDSO)!
SERVICENOW ROLL-OUT
DEDSO is excited to fully launch its ServiceNow support request tile . ServiceNow will provide DEDSO with much needed activity tracking to streamline project management, enable strategic prioritization, enhance visibility, and provide metrics to support resourcing justifications. It will provide you with a central location to ask us anything in a more recognizable and traceable manner. Training, change requests, and general information queries can all be accomplished within the tile. You will need a CAC/PIV to access the tile. A desk guide is available for your use. Find the Service Now link here.

IMPLEMENTED/WITHDRAWN DLMS CHANGES: We have been working hard to clean out some of our older ADCs to make implementation clearer. Find those documents here.
SOME ACTIVITIES FROM JUNE:
DLMS Training For F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO)
We provided DLMS training to 55 F-35 JPO technicians to assist in the identification of required data and mapping syntax requirements to initiate transactional accounting to achieve FIAR and NDAA 142 compliance.
Subsistence Total Order & Receipt Electronic System (STORES) Processing Exception
Our Finance Team collaborated with the Defense Automatic Addressing System (DAAS) to tweak the validation logic associated with ADC 1043E. This DLMS change prevents sales orders using expired or deleted fund codes from processing to ensure fiscal reconciliation. DEDSO and DAAS developed and implemented temporary logic to allow some fund code constrained transactions to pass edits until the end of fiscal year.
Air Force/DLA Warehouse Management System (WMS) Implementation Support
The Supply Team and DAAS conducted research in support of an Air Force request regarding how to properly add additional dollar amounts to Security Assistance materiel release orders. We are working through several potential options to achieve the desired outcome.
