DLA Logistics Operations
Mr. Patrick J. Dulin serves as the executive director of the Mission Support Directorate, Defense Logistics Agency, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Mission Support includes Performance Based Logistics and Management Support, encompassing high-profile initiatives that leverage his whole of government, logistics and operational expertise.
Dulin was inducted into the Senior Executive Service June 12, 2006, when he joined DLA as director, Enterprise Support. He was responsible for enterprisewide installation support services to enable the DLA mission of supporting warfighters and DLA customers’ operations. In 2008, Dulin assumed duties as the deputy commander of DLA Energy. He was responsible for providing the Department of Defense and other government agencies with comprehensive energy solutions in the most effective and efficient manner possible.
In 2013, Dulin deployed to Iraq for seven months to serve as the executive director of the Office of Security Cooperation-Iraq. In 2014, he deployed to Afghanistan for 13 months, where he served as the executive director for Afghan National Defense & Security Forces Sustainment.
Dulin graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in June 1973 with a Bachelor Of Science. Following graduation, he entered the U.S. Marine Corps. Dulin retired in July 2003 after serving 30 years in the Marine Corps. He then continued his career in the federal government as a civilian employee, initially for the Marine Corps, and then with DLA.
Dulin has a Master of Science in electrical engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, a Master of Arts in national security and strategic studies from the U.S. Naval War College, and a Master of Science in systems management from the University of Southern California.
His civilian decorations include the Presidential Rank Award of Meritorious Executive; the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Joint Meritorious Civilian Service Award; the DLA Exceptional Civilian Service Award; the Department of Navy, U.S. Marine Corps Superior Civilian Service Award; the Gold Medal of the Polish Armed Forces; the Afghan Symbol of Honor of the Police Forces; and the Global War on Terrorism Medal as executive director for Afghan National Defense & Security Forces Sustainment within the NATO Resolute Support Headquarters in Kabul.
